The main product of the project is going to be a “matching skills” tool which is going to be used by universities and enterprises in order to match the skills that the universities offer with the skills required by the enterprises.

 The results of the UETPNET were disseminated in the Final Conference of the project which was organized in the fantastic premises of the Botanic Garden of Palermo in the 21st of September 2012 and has gathered many relevant stakeholders in the sector. In this conference, the participants had the opportunity to exchange their opinions in a variety of issues related with the promotion of the relations between the universities and the enterprises. Two professors of the University of Palermo, Mr. Gioacchino Fazio, professor of Industrial Economy and Business Management and Mrs. Rosa di Lorenzo, President of the Degree Course of Management Engineering have presented the experience of the University of Palermo in the field. Mr. Fazio’s presentation was concentrated in the role of the Industrial Liaison Office of the University while the presentation of Mrs. Di Lorenzo was concentrated in the positive experience of the faculty of Management Engineering in the field. Mr. Kostas Diamantis- Balaskas has presented and explained the results of the UETPNET project to all the participants and has answered to the questions of the public.

Then, there were presented two positive examples which highlighted the transnational experience in the cooperation between universities and enterprises by Mr. Dorin Festeu (BUCKS new University- UK) and Mrs. Efi Geronymaki (University of Ioannina- Greece). In the evening session of the Conference, a round table was organized with the participation of representatives of employment organizations (CONFIDUSTRIA), private enterprise (Emblema s.r.l), the Industrial Liaison Office, the Regional Department for Vocation Education and Training and two faculties of the University of Palermo (Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Economy). The participants had the chance to analyze various issues of the topic and share their opinions in the subject. Chair of the conference was professor Antonino Valenza, responsible for the UETPNET project in the University of Palermo.
